Gold and Bronze Awards from the Society of Illustrators of LA

I have received a Gold Award in the Book category of the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles's 50th annual competition, Illustration West 50, for the illustration "The Lodge", created with Antoine Revoy, and a Bronze Award in the Children's Market category for the illustration The Princess and the Golden Fish. My cover for the The Unicorn's Tale was also selected in the Children's Market category.

An exhibit displaying the winning entries will be held at the Gallery Nucleus, where the awards will be announced and given to the winners on opening night of Illustration West 50, March 30th 2012 from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

"Over At The Castle" in The Society of Illustrators Original Art Show 2011

Kelly Murphy's picture book Over At The Castle was selected by the Society of Illustrators for inclusion in the 2011 Original Art Show. Over At The Castle had also previously been selected by 3x3 Magazine's jury for publication in the magazine's Annual No.7 and 3x3 Children's Show.

"The Lodge" Selected by The Society of Illustrators

My illustration "The Lodge", created in collaboration with Antoine Revoy for 'Haunted Houses (Are You Scared Yet?)', was selected by the Society of Illustrators in the Book category of its 53rd annual competition.

The illustration will be published in the society's 53rd Annual Book and the original will be presented at the Museum of American Illustration in its Book and Editorial Exhibit which will run from January 26 to February 19, 2011. The opening will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011.
